From Mactan-Cebu Airport

Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) is located in Lapu-Lapu City on Mactan Island, connected to mainland Cebu by three bridges. The CCLEX (Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway) via Cordova connects directly to Cebu City's South Road Properties (SRP), bypassing Mandaue and Cebu City proper.

Metropolitan Cebu (Metro Cebu) is the second-largest metropolitan area in the Philippines, comprising 13 local government units: Cebu City, Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City, Talisay City, and the municipalities of Consolacion, Liloan, Compostela, Cordova, Minglanilla, Naga, San Fernando, Carcar, and Danao.

All public transport to Moalboal departs from Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) in Cebu City. V-hires use a sub-terminal at the back of CSBT.

Tip: Buses run every 30 minutes from 3 AM to 6:30 PM. Tell the conductor "Moalboal" and they'll drop you at the bus stop. AC buses are slightly more expensive.

Buses and vans drop you at Moalboal Bus Stop beside the public market in the town center. From there, it's a short tricycle ride (₱100-150) to Panagsama Beach or White Beach. Many accommodations can arrange pickup if you let them know your arrival time.

Coming from neighboring islands? Several ferry routes connect to Cebu, with onward travel to Moalboal by bus or van.

💡 Ferry Travel Tips

Book ahead during peak season (December-May) as ferries can sell out, especially on weekends.

Arrive 30-45 minutes early for check-in, especially for fastcraft services.

Bring motion sickness medication if prone to seasickness; seas can be rough during habagat (southwest monsoon).

RORO ferries (Roll-on/Roll-off) can transport vehicles but take longer than fastcraft.

Check weather conditions — ferries may be cancelled during typhoons or rough seas.

Terminal fees (₱15-30) are usually separate from ticket price.
